Generally I'm on alt not so much because I care about what friends and colleagues think about the stuff I tweet but because of second order impact - what happens if I piss off someone who doesn't know me but whose opinion a friend cares about?
E.g. masculinity threads are all stuff that could easily get me branded Problematic and I don't think anyone whose opinions I care about would do that but then they've got their friends going "why are you friends with genie??" and a bad time is had by all
