Also, side note: This video was a helpful reminder, if reminder were needed, that I am really quite bi. I think one problem I have with male attractiveness is that I find motion very attractive, and tend to find still images boring, and this is much more true of men than women.

I think I'm like 95% straight but I absolutely see what you're saying re: motion.

Yeah I mean I don't think this is a bi thing, I think it's just true in general, but I think it exacerbates the difference between male and female attractiveness because what you need to look good in a still image is to be pretty which is not quite the same as being attractive.

I'd see it the other way round, personally. Part of the typical feminine ideal of beauty is a certain softness/suppleness that is much clearer in motion. That's not part of the male ideal usually, so I think motion helps women more than men.

Assuming we're talking about pure physicality, and not mannerisms, abilities etc.

Hmm. I mean you're not wrong that motion helps women a lot, but I think it's more... there are ways to showcase women's attractiveness that are preserved well in still image that we either can't or don't do as well for men.

Sure! I'm reasonably high confidence in saying that it won't work for me, but I'll be interested in your thoughts on it.
