I'd focus less on masculinity and more on virtue in general I feel like there are tons of materials for men that use this gender focus, "how to be a good Man", rather than "how to be a good person" I feel like it alienates men from women most virtue is genderless, isn't it?
Virtue is genderless, but most of getting better at virtue is undoing the things that stop you being virtuous, and those tend to be quite gendered.

That being said, I don't really disagree, I just think anything like that needs to take gender into account even if it's not about gender.
