Hmm yeah no was thinking of a more sensory thing Like imagine if you had a volume dial on your hearing and it was turned really down and then it was turned up and you jumped "oh yeah sounds exist" Kinda like that but with sensory experience in general, and vision in particular
Not involuntarily, no. I actually have fairly good voluntary control of the effect you're describing with hearing though. Not so much with my other senses.
