you're not "hyperfocused" youre dissociated, distracting oneself with flow states via games or tv etc is something many people do for completely different reasons

Have you read "Scattered Minds"? I thought it was mostly trash but there were a few useful glimmers of insight in there I think. Not explicitly phenomenological though.
