I think as a rule of thumb I would avoid making an app for anything I can describe how to do with existing technology in a short Twitter thread.

I make apps by thinking of them and telling people about them til someone makes it. For example Waze, I invented in 1986

The problem with your reasoning is that the only thing that would make it work (like Facebook or other non-inventive tools) is that it’s what other people also use. No one would use google docs for this. And I don’t think there is any secure way to do this with existing apps
