(I mean I basically agree with you that sometimes parts of yourself don't like other parts of yourself, but when this happens to me I generally prefer to resolve this by demanding that they hug it out rather than identifying with one of them over the other)

Sure. Mainly pointing out that anything verbal has to in fact come from a part of you capable of creating words, rather than from other parts, whether or not you are thinking in terms of parts. Also unsurprising that word "I" tends to refer more to that part, even if not only.
