Yeah, I feel like this is very much a thing that men are "supposed" to sort of laugh off.
And I guess a lot of the time it's genuinely not a big deal, but sometimes it is. Of the incidents I have in mind almost all were NBD but one I was genuinely upset about it and have modified my behaviour accordingly to avoid that situation in future.
Both in the sense of treating the woman in question as intrinsically unsafe and also I'm never going to render myself that incapable of meaningful consent again unless I 100% trust everyone I'm doing it with. It didn't go as far as that makes it sound, but it was very unsettling.
Some thoughts: (1) it can be flattering (2) we have physical strength to disengage (3) it’s okay to laugh off if it did not scar you emotionally (4) but i think that if they play w/ men psychology enough they can make them do unwanted things

Yeah, my guess is both that the same behavior is much less harmful to men in general and also that men feel less like they can speak up when it does bother them.
Yes, I'd agree with this, although I think it's not so much that the behaviour is intrinsically less harmful with men as that most of the actual harm of this behaviour comes from implied threat, which is both actually less and also felt less strongly with men.
