Yeah I guess it's not that I don't understand why people *would* do this it just literally never occurs to me to do.

Twitter allows you to search for animated gifs using keywords, but static image memes you have to download and then repost. It's much easier to save/paste when using mobile app, too. (It's why I use animated gifs, avoiding mobile and cba to manually scroll through dl'd images.)
