good thread but setting aside "good" what are your /favorite/ questions "what if that's good?" "how could I make this more interesting?" "am i having fun here" "what is this person really asking from me?" "what would happen if i just looked at this for a while"https://twitter.com/mattgoldenberg/status/1252681097365925890 …

"What's going on here?" "Is there a better way of looking at this?" "Have you tried doing that but better?" "Can I trust this person with the full truth?" "What do I actually want here?"

Trusting with full truth is a tricky one. Perhaps “how much truth does this situation call for?” Also: sharing all aspects of something, including one’s own feelings about it, is not necessarily being truthful.

This is also a useful question, but I think the full truth one is important. The answer to it is almost never yes, but the very rare occasions where it's yes pay off a thousandfold, and answering it is often informative even when the answer is no.

Answering the question doesn’t always mean taking that action, so yes

Yeah. Trusting someone with the whole truth doesn't mean you suddenly dump the whole truth on them, it just means that you no longer filter what you say to them based on whether you can trust them with it, only on whether it's the right thing to say in context.
