Totally-just-jokes-because-I'm-very-healthy-and-untraumatised aside, question asking is a really useful skill and it's kinda weird that nobody teaches you to do it.

Here's an exercise I like: Pick a random object in your environment and write a couple pages of observation about it. There's a follow up you can do: What more is there to learn about this object? e.g. it's history, what it is it made of, etc. Can you come up with 100 questions?

I'm not quite sure how to end this thread. Is there anything else you'd like to know?

How to motivate most people to train this prescription?

Gosh, I don't know. I probably wouldn't try directly - I'd see if there was something more specific they wanted to do that it would be useful for (it's useful for a lot of things) and try to signpost how to get better at it in that context?

That sounds like guiding the motivated. I do face the similar question.

I mean if I wanted a pure motivation that would get the most people motivated to learn this skill it's this: Being able to ask good questions makes you smarter, and it makes you *seem* even smarter than that.

That's doctrine, and there's no wrong in it. What do you think about money?
