I sometimes feel like I don't fit that well into postrat Twitter very well because I went More Dakka on a bunch of stuff that they decided they had moved past instead. (It doesn't help that I'm not and have never been a rationalist per se, but eh)

Yes I could give up on theorising heavily, problem solving, and explaining experience in clear, precise, language. I understand that these all have limitations and cannot be applied in all circumstances. I understand that in many cases they work but it's very much The Hard Way.

But sometimes the reason why the tools that got you to where you are are insufficient to help you progress isn't that they're inadequate to the task, you just need to use them more and better.
