I probably *mostly* don't talk too much these days (in person, Twitter doesn't count ) but it's very easy for me to dominate a conversation if I'm not heavily self-monitoring and other people let me, and I used to do this a lot, and it very much annoys me when others do it.

This is all fairly central shadow work stuff BTW. We reject in others what we reject in ourselves, so we project our shadow onto other people.

Makes sense I haven't read Jung in many years, I just think things like this are interesting to talk about- and perhaps even that using terms like shadow work might be excluding some people from this conversation who could potentially benefit from it.

Yeah, certainly. I wasn't suggesting you should have used the term, just mentioning the connection.

Maybe it would be useful if I actually read more about it, to give disclaimers

I mean I'd be lying if I said I was well read in it - I've read a few random non-primary-source books, a few blog posts, and talked about it a lot on alt twitter.

Do you use discord? I have a little section in my server for a book club, but I've only really started being active on discord again today after a long break. It would be pretty interesting to look at some of the source material together and see if our impressions alter at all
