Stray thought: I wonder if people who object to being a free therapist for their partner also object to being a free sex worker.

Usually people aren't trying to convince their partner that they need the help of a professional sex worker.

I don't believe that people complaining about doing free therapy correlates that well with them effectively persuading their partner to see a therapist. (Also I think more people should convince their partner to see a professional sex worker)

Okay, if you're going to imagine specific horrible people rather that an exhausting and pathologically self-involved dependency on the partner as a helpless source of an "emotional support" that never leads to any change or insight then you do you but that's a real thing.

I didn't read the thread because I had responding to your first Tweet and did not know that there was a thread. I had not meant to suggest that such people do not exist, but I hadn't known that I was responding to the preamble to talking about them.

Well, maybe err on the side of treating mutuals as competent and actually attempting to read the context before going all passive aggressive at them in future?

Maybe do that?
