I feel like I have a clearer idea with therapists since it's white collar. The more general point I was making is that this seemed like the sort of example that's easy to gloss over until you ask "wait, how *do* sex workers get treated?" and realise you don't know.
Well I think part of the problem is that "sex worker" is a very heterogenous category. But yes it's true I probably have a much better picture of what it's like to be a therapist than I do to what it's like to be a sex worker.

Yeah, like there's as recurring news story which goes something like "washed up celebrity paid hooker for sex, tried to kiss hooker, hooker assaults him", which makes me think sex worker norms are unintuitive.
