What if anxiety is Good Actually, and rather than solving it the way to deal with it is to identify what it is telling you about the world and deal with that appropriately? i.e. by developing anxiety coping mechanisms.

Simple basilisk: self-esteem, relaxedness, etc. are the #1 virtue. Therefore feeling anxiety is vaguely sinful, which in turn makes you feel anxious. Actually, society has a strong one-size-had-better-fit-all Respectable Middle-Class mould. Admitting difference is status hit.
