I did the open psychometrics one instead because this site annoys me. https://openpsychometrics.org/tests/OEPS/results.php?s=50,69,50,63,81,56,38,75,44 … I'm a type 5 but also fairly strongly a type eight and type two.

Hmm those do all connect in the enneagram model, with 5 --> 8 --> 2. I am very low on 8 and 2 though (I took the 'official' test some time ago)!

8 seems like a social confidence thing. I wonder if there's a gender thing going on here - type 5 men will tend to have more free reign and social encouragement to embrace their type 8ness.

I know where my type 2 tendencies come from and it's not entirely healthy but I like the tendencies so I choose not to worry about it.

Yeah for a 5 to have some 2 is probably great, really. I think you're likely right about the gender thing-- 8 feels stereotypically masculine (sort of assertive/aggressive/challenging).

Ha ha it's true I am lovely and sweet and nice right up until the point where I decide that someone has transgressed and it is my right and sworn duty to crush them.
