aliens aren't an exception to the collection of activities I want nothing to do with that make me consider myself asexual

Yeah. I must admit I'm surprised at how many people are checking the "Asexual | Alien Exception" - I put it in because the poll felt incomplete without it, I didn't expect "But it's an alien" would change whether asexual people found something appealing.

given I never notice this signal from humans, crossing the interstellar barrier seems even more unlikely

I think the condition of "Given the opportunity, would you consensually..." in your case means that the alien says "Alex, I would like to fuck you. I have provided diagrams to explain this information in detail in case this is confusing. Are you up for it?"
