I thought Breaking Bad was going to be a lot more gory and morbid than it really was based on my mom's description that "it was so horrifying it gave me heart palpitations". Bless that woman's heart, but I wanted more gore!

... I didn't until this moment consider the possibility that scenes of drug manufacture and use might be almost as horrifying to my mom as gunfights and murder, but now I'm thinking that might be how to make sense of this... Different worlds!

I found it too distressing to watch, but that was mostly because of the US healthcare system.
