My least favourite genre of lie is "Thing everyone loudly says is true that is categorically false but that I wish were true."
"male sexuality is simple" and "explicit verbal consent for all the things in advance is both viable and sexy" are two big recurring examples for me.

I'm sure I have non sex ones too but those are the things that immediately come to mind, and sex is probably a rich source of this sort of lie in general.

The second is a big one for me. It's how I navigate relationships by default. Dating... seems like it's configured to draw from areas where I'm interpersonally weak. That would've been a hard pill to swallow even if no one had lied to me about it.
