I don’t enjoy smoking pot, and don’t even like edibles. I’m just highly aware of some altered/fake-feeling mental state. Alcohol, caffeine, nicotine, CBD, LSD do not do this to me, and I enjoy them just fine. Is there any good reason to *try* to enjoy THC?

I've found weed kinda useful (and fun) as part of my work on getting better at embodiment - the combination of increasing body pleasure and being a mild dissociative seems quite helpful

That being said obviously you shouldn't force yourself to try it if you don't want to. How sure are you that your variable response isn't the type of weed BTW? I've found my weed experience varies from ecstatically good to boring and awful between different types of weed.

It could totally be different types. Over the years I have mostly just smoked/eaten whatever others have had, and I haven’t been particularly systematic with this experimentation! But even more recently the edibles I have feel ok, I’m just still so aware it’s an altered state!

You mentioned in one of the other replies that you enjoyed using CBD oil? My working hypothesis (unvalidated) has always been that the highs I really enjoy came from a high ratio of CBD to THC, so I wonder if it would be worth experimenting with low doses plus extra CBD?
