Classic example I've run into (not personally, but second hand multiple times) is therapists who treat poly as a sign that someone has attachment issues or whatever.

IIRC
@maradydd had a therapist who explicitly taught her to mask when necessary, i.e. to emulate a neurotypical social-interaction stack in software. I dunno how *healthy* that is, but it seems to be effective. -
Probably much healthier as an explicit toolkit you can use when needed than as "this is how you should be all the time".
