Most people have no Neanderthal ancestry and those who do are in the low single digit percentage points.
As a side note I like the theory that Neanderthals were much nicer and more prosocial than we were and that's why they mostly died out when they encountered us. Minimal to no evidence AFAIK, but I like it.

I am periodically deeply saddened that homo sapiens won out over the neanderthals, who were likely both more prosocial and more intelligent (based on cranium size). In a different world, better people are managing the intelligence explosion.

Not only does this probably decrease the probability of galactic flowering, but also, unless we end up with some strong version of CEV, I imagine that it might mean that the future is "worse", in the long run, than it would have been.
