Possibly they're not! I'm insufficiently clear on the scene on the ground. Nevertheless, the headline seems to be treating something as a gotcha which as far as I can tell shouldn't be surprising.
I'm sure the actual answer to why Portland is a hotspot is a complex mix of reasons, but "Portland is majority white, checkmate activists" seems like something that someone says to sound good rather than to make an actual substantive point?

Yea, you're right it's more argument as soldier than trying to make an actual point bc I already pre-believe BLM isn't about BL. The reason why it's a hotspot is bc all the antifa moved there
