Twitter! What is money? Why do you, personally, want it?

Money is saved up ability to affect the world. I mostly want it so that I can maintain a moderately comfortable standard of living and turn unexpected problems into expenses.
And I guess so that I can get other people to prioritise problems I care about (e.g. in the context of charitable donations, but also through buying stuff I want more of to exist)

One of my favourite uses of money is actually when friends have a problem and I can basically say "Look, let me solve this problem for you" - either with an interest-free loan or a gift if it's small. I like being able to help my friends.

Yeah!! I realized this when I commercially fished in Alaska. I was vegan when I first went up, stopped because I felt hypocritical. But I realized there are actually some really cool things going for the organic/sustainable wild-catch seining system they have in Alaska.
