I assume it comes through fairly clearly, although it's not necessarily incentivised!

Hmm the arrogance comes through* but not the others I think? Your wholesome-posting sortof gets in the way of them for me. * no judgement, me too.

I hope that by collecting a lot of power I can also do a lot of good things. One of my favourite things about EA is that it tells people that gaining power makes you a good person. I'm pretty sure that's not true but it's a nice thought.https://mobile.twitter.com/Kirsten3531/status/1298639781648388097 …

Note to bystanders: EA does not actually say this, I just assume Genie will know what I mean!

Sounds interesting, but the effective bit of EA sounds a bit utilitarian?

EA is very overtly utilitarian, yeah.

(Which I actually endorse despite not being an EA and thinking that utilitarianism is an awful moral system - it's much better at a policy level than an individual level)

I've been told I'm more of a Kantian after debating utilitarians, but I haven't really read any Kant. It's on my to-do list.

My (unvalidated) impression is that Kant is pretty unreadable, even in the original version let alone in translation, and you're better off reading https://plato.stanford.edu/entries/ethics-deontological/ … I'm more of a virtue ethics sort of genie though.
