So tell me about alt Twitter. -What inspired you to start an alt? -Do you still post on main? -What are the pros and cons? -Do you feel completely anonymous or are you still choose your words carefully?

1. It was partly done on a whim. I can't remember the specific prompt, but I had increasingly many opinions I was frustrated about not feeling safe to talk about under my main professional identity - either a little too private or skirting too close to the edge of cancel-worthy
2. Yes, a fair bit. I try to put everything on main that I feel is OK to put on main, and I interact with different groups of people on each.

3. Pros: A bit more freedom of expression, get to explore topics and discuss things I would normally only discuss one on one or in closed groups. Cons: It's sometimes really irritating not being able to cross-reference things I've said on one from the other.

4. At this point there's probably like 20-40 people who know who I am, so I'm far from anonymous. Even when I was more anonymous I was still a little careful in choosing my words because I was touching on some sensitive subjects and didn't want to hurt people.
