Eh, don't worry. Keep working on it and I'm sure you'll get there. Also, as an addendum. The first thing I thought of when reading that thread is the military. A large part of the being on the battlefield is sublimating difficult to process emotions for some defined greater good

Yes, I agree! A lot of male-dominated professions involve emotional labour of that form I think. And I've generally been pretty pleasantly surprised by how things like this have been received. I'm sure someone will get mad at me eventually but so far it's been pretty much fine.
