What if the reason why women do most of the emotional labour is that we don't count it as emotional labour when men do it? (I was surprisingly reluctant to tweet this even on alt)

Honestly I think it should. It's a lot of hard emotional work that is being demanded of you to manage your emotional reactions in situations like this! If that doesn't count as emotional labour I don't know what does.
