Mostly: 1. Having other people to discuss my situation with helps me because I get their perspective on it and more clearly explain mine. 2. Probably at least some other people are in the same boat as me and would like to know they're not alone and benefit from (1)
Or just more simply than that: Talking about your problems is good and helps everyone.
Yeah, I guess this is an outcome of a social view which boils everything down into simplifications and binaries so that individuals can "represent" groups for the purposes of online discourse - we speak on this platform not for ourselves but for all of "us", whoever that may be
