"How we talk about poly people" thread reminds me that I often notice and occasionally point out that many people talk about furries in almost *exactly* the way that people they hate talk about queer people and somehow experience no cognitive dissonance about this.

Part of me wants to be nice to furries and respect their.. whatever and part of me is forever mad at running into fox dick when I was like ten years old and how I continue to run into various sorts of furry porn that I JUST DO NOT WANT TO SEE. Even when not looking for porn adfdf
I feel like it's possible to do both, but I agree this is an annoying problem.

same but i also remember i kinda feel this way about *anything* sexual also when i think about it, my real problem with furries is that so many of them like the modern Disney art style, which imo is trash

yeah this is also a problem, i think their aesthetics are Bad even disregarding the fact that they vaguely trigger me

I think the crux of the issue lies with people being unable to navigate nuance and/or paradoxes I bash furries every now and again, yet I've had a furry friend for, like, I want to say at least five years if not longer

Yeah, I’m cool with furries on a personal level, I just say mean things about them on Twitter sometimes
