I think there's a real problem with the system here. A lot of them are like stuff I can describe pretty well in a page and they're clearly good enough to be sometimes useful, but can I be arsed to do a bunch of work to make them publication ready? No sir I can not.

I once attended a talk by someone who talked about how he had to publish his stuff on HAL because he had been banned from Arxiv and I was like "How???" By the end of the talk I understood.
