I don't really understand why everyone doesn't grind problem solving skills constantly. It feels like almost everyone gets to a certain (often quite low) skill level in what is basically a cheat code for life with unbounded upwards growth and then goes "welp, that's good enough"

This is a good example and I’d like to add on that part of the solving is recognizing what’s causing the problem. In this example it looks like discipline [or lack thereof] might be the problem. So you choose to either have it and go to bed, or don’t and keep tweeting.
