I think it's more than that though. I think a lot of the things we conceptualise as attractiveness, at a society level, are feminine coded, and the few masculine-coded ones (e.g. muscles) are hard work to attain and maintain.

Oh yeah peak female attractiveness is super hard work. But there's a much broader range where you can still be considered attractive as a woman.

Oh, yeah, this is true. Sorry I meant that in the sense of "As conceptualised in our broader cultural scripts". Thing is, a lot of bi people don't end up learning the homosexual attraction scripts, for various reasons.
