I mean partly this is because salience = credence * severity, but I'm probably overestimating it even taking that into account.

Ugh this is where I'm supposed to do negative visualisation to reduce the perceived severity, isn't it? TFW you know how and why you're being completely crazy, also know how to fix it, and don't want to do it.

If your craziness is on a purely mental/cognitive level, that would help. If it's deeper it's more like being able to describe your broken leg in great detail.

this is why it's ridiculous when folks imagine being "awake" means being somehow perfected. being awake means being able to see clearly and when trauma is locked in the body we may be clear as we continue acting like an idiot when triggered.
