I didn't know how to answer RE fiction. Travel is high effort / low reward for me so I tend towards the vanilla.

Fiction/media I was thinking of genres like horror, esoteric/nerdy fantasy or niche self-published/webfiction And yeah, there are a lot of adventurous travellers but that might hit a different reward feeling than some of the other categories
