Not even like, romantically terrifying, I just had a lot of bad experiences with own-gender peers as a kid and so it's harder for me to consider them safe.

Ha ha yeah I'm not saying other-gender people *aren't* terrifying, but I basically only learned to interact with them at all as an adult so the terror is more rational and less deeply entrained.

I relate to this, though mostly in the romantic sense. Both, though, kinda- guys make sense to me. Girls are a complete and utter mystery and I fear they will always be so.
