The hotness bonus isn't lesser for guys, it's different. Being hot as a guy is a force amplifier - everything you do is a bit easier and people will treat you as more competent than you are - while being a hot girl lets you get away with things that others would be punished for.

I think this is quite a specific situation and that it doesn't generalise as well as you think it does, especially to people of medium to high-but-not-exceptional hotness who lead relatively ordinary lives.
Compare like how often a hot male doctor gets opportunities an average looking male doctor would struggle for. Compare also how a hot female doctor still gets mistaken for a nurse and largely gets people "going easy on her" rather than promoting her.
