The hotness bonus isn't lesser for guys, it's different. Being hot as a guy is a force amplifier - everything you do is a bit easier and people will treat you as more competent than you are - while being a hot girl lets you get away with things that others would be punished for.

i don't discount the resistance but i've been in rooms with some of the most beautiful and powerful people around and the women own the men so hard it's not even close. it's a palpable difference ime
I think this is quite a specific situation and that it doesn't generalise as well as you think it does, especially to people of medium to high-but-not-exceptional hotness who lead relatively ordinary lives.

Compare like how often a hot male doctor gets opportunities an average looking male doctor would struggle for. Compare also how a hot female doctor still gets mistaken for a nurse and largely gets people "going easy on her" rather than promoting her.
