I don't think so? Maybe we mean smth different by coherent. If my worldview is correct that means that there's all sorts of clear relationships between its contents (A implies B, B negates C, etc.) If you find something wrong you just cascade update!
"If you find something wrong you reevaluate your entire worldview" doesn't strike you as a strong incentive to not notice when things are wrong?

Yeah but that just gets you to the point where you want to be right, it doesn't get you to the point where you don't want to avoid doing the thing that helps you be right. You end up with your foot on the brake and the accelerator at the same time.
