I'm not that draconian! People are allowed to speak in private, and maybe to post comments about how cute this picture of a cat is in public. Just not, like, actual opinions about things that have consequences until they've been validated as safe to do so.
"Safe" for whom? The current bureaucratic authority structures? China has stringent speech restrictions and is at least as dysfunctional as America.
I mean I literally said that this was the problem with it in the opening tweet, so I'm not sure what you're getting at.
