notable happenings:
-A stray child dwarf went berserk in my storeroom and had their head punched clean off by an intervening citizen
-Humans keep trying to steel my artifact ring, might be cursed?
-Making masks wearable has made all dwarfs in my culture wear masks by default
I dwarf fortress'd myself out by driving myself crazy trying to get these dummies to stop falling off the gigantic waterfall that I'm obsessed with building ontop of.

This was the first full illustration I finished for AEGIS and is still one of my favorite designs! I have a real fondness for hummingbirds and how they move, and I think it really came through on the mechanical design here!

Once songs we sing is complete I really want to work with someone to localize it to Japanese. I know what it's like to see a game in another language and being intensely intrigued by it and I want to tear down that wall for at least one person
In SwS I think everyone's interpretation of the various kin is valid unless of course you put human AND animal ears on auditors at the same time. You can, but just know that it's wrong
I realized that I fogot to update Songs we Sing's move handout because I tweaked a few of the core moves. If you're using v0.41 then I'd suggest redownloading the new move handout which is appropriately named the corresponding version type.

In playtesting the most satisfying level ups were when a character changed in an important way and there was a move to reflect that change. For example I had a knight who's instrument became fused with them and they took a move that added a new perk to the weapon to reflect this
Trying to add more advanced moves for characters who advance to level 6 and beyond in SwS and it's tricky because they're not just more potent moves but also moves that reflect character arcs evolving and progressing. Like a deeper truth being revealed or catching up with them
Sometimes I remember there are details about songs we sing that I forgot to write in the .pdf but were established long ago when it was still a comic so now new people don't know those details
Like horses not existing or the taboo about orators removing their mask
I hope I'm not overbearing with how excited I get about every character someone makes for songs we sing. I've wanted people to tell the stories of interesting characters in that world for so long so it's like a dream come true every time it happens
