Other countries monitored their citizens’ phone calls under the guise of “national security.” One such group was called the Gestapo. Another the NKVD. A third was run by YOU. Comparison hurts, doesn’t it?

Not even close to an accurate analogy. Beyond generic privacy concerns, no evidence ever revealed that NSA abused surveillance of any specific Americans. Certainly didn't use info to kill citizenry.

Oh, yeah, besides destroying the Fourth Amendment rights of hundreds of millions of people for false and duplicitous reasons, NO HARM WAS DONE! What a pack of morons.

Really? How was your 4th Amendment right violated in light of SCOTUS decision of Smith v. Maryland and what harm did you suffer? And where did the program, which is now congressionally authorized in almost identical format, target any Americans other than collecting metadata?

Oh, you're attempting to justify Section 702 now, are you? Much help you were to the cause of civil liberties -- another useless lawyer. The government currently stores many thousands of terabytes of data collected in violation of the 4th Amend. prohibition on SEARCH AND SEIZURE.

You stick to that story. If you print out your tweets, you can burn them for heat. Otherwise you're just ranting into cyberspace. Typical extremist that if you don't agree w/their interpretation of civil liberties, you're an enemy. And you wonder why you can't effect change.

Actually, the reason it has gotten so out of hand is because we have made border crossings so dangerous and so difficult. Prior to our current system (pre-Vietnam), crossings were cyclical. Most immigrants came for work seasonally, then went back to their families.

Migrant workers can’t just “go back now”. Actual experts say we would have far less migrants that STAY if our border was more easy to navigate. If we have our green cards for workers, we’d see far less immigration issues.

I used to see this every year living in the California Central Valley. The migrants came and worked the fields (jobs nobody else would take) and returned home after the harvests. They have always been decent, kind, hardworking people.
