Not to the extent of shoplifting carrying large bags/garbage on a regular basis that stores literally have to close their businesses. That only started happening in Dem cities recently. I’m just curious, what aisles do they target?

Yeah, Walgreen's, a billion dollar corp, is going under because of a stolen garbage bag full of mouthwash. Got my "econ learning" for the day, excellent.

Nobody is claiming Walgreens/Cvs will go under, moron. They will close the stores where theft/shoplifting is excessive. People who worked at the closed locations will lose their jobs. Those that obtained their meds and other products will have to travel farther to get them.

They announced these stores closures in like 2019. CVS hasn’t closed any stores even though there’s all of this “crime”.

17 Walgreens closed in SAN Francisco in the last 5 years. More business for CVS. They have calculated their loses and have decidedly to mostly stay open although 85% of their losses are from theft.

Walgreens announced those closures years ago and it has nothing to do with any “crime wave” (hence the 5 year window).

No consequence for $950 or less thefts in SF so basically making it legal to shoplift. The shelves were either empty or products locked up in cages.https://www.sfgate.com/local-donotuse/article/CVS-closed-san-francisco-market-street-hours-13760626.php …

This is an article from 2019, which would predate the current “crime wave” and also Chesa Boudin. You’re not good at this! The data doesn’t back you up!

Due to Dem policies, San Francisco has been in decline for decades. I should know. I grew up in SF, living there since 1971. Just came home from SF airport. I now live n the suburbs. I would not go to downtown SF anymore due to the homeless, drunkards, drug addicts, trash etc.

It is literally the safest time to live in San Francisco in the history of San Francisco. You’ve got a child’s understanding of the world but the media filter of an octogenarian.

Then why is there a mass exodus up 649% in 2020 compared to 2019? 61.3% more people moved out of SF the end of quarter in 2020 compared to 24.6% end of quarter in 2019.https://www.newsweek.com/san-francisco-seeing-dramatic-number-exits-city-though-most-stayed-california-1574127 …
