          Chuck, when I was a youngster in NW Mn in the mid 60s, I used to hear sonic booms. There was an AFB in ND. I would ask my mom what that noise was and she said "that airplane." I couldn't grasp (age 5) how the plane was in one place but the sound came from way behind it. 😁
