FW-190 was a fighter for another sort of AC. Early on, it was a great dogfighter (A4), but as bomber interception became paramount, versions like the A8 were not so much. The D9 reset that a bit but it wasn't as numerous. P51's range and other factors made it great.
Q fr @Trojan653 How do you feel about how FW-190 rates overall w/ regard to being amongst the finest fighters of the war? Where does she stand & which A/C are demonstrably better * worse...? A: You'll have to do your own research & thesis. P-51 served US well. See next post
