Nov '43 - when we 1st got to England, they put us at RAF Raydon, a muddy, sorry air base with the 9th Air Force. We received the P-51s - 1st group to fly them in combat. Some pilots flew P-51 for the 1st time, in combat. #P51, #WWII, #RAFRaydon,
