Yes. General Rall and I became friends after the war. He credits being shot down the last time as saving his life. Lost his thumb and was out of commission for 9 months. Had a hard time finding his wife. One child was killed - by a bomb drop. Difficult timeshttps://twitter.com/ErikMPearson/status/936420988773953537 …

Didnt know & happy to hear. Beeing german it is often difficult for me to explain, to your fellow americans that life can put you in a situation where only bad choices are available. Our country did terrible wrong, but the single soldier wasnt asked for his opinion (I guess).

Maybe. But you cant look in peoples heads. The nazis were fighting with arms against other political parties. Claiming to liberate germany. More important is an informed public. Germany elected hitler. Because people believed him or simply didnt care.

If Hitler came to power here, it would be as the representative of those who most loudly assert their 2nd Amendment rights, and they would love it.

I suppose you think the Democratic Republic of Korea is democratic. After all, it's right there in the name.

I have heard this argument my entire life, it’s a fallacy. The Nazi party didn’t take control by force, they were elected into power. By the populous.
