Q: Did you ever have any fear on any mission incl sound barrier or mach 2. If so how did you get thru it? A: Sure. Ignored it - what good does it do? If you die you don't know anything about it anyway. You just wipe it from your mind.

I'm just a flight test engineer, orders of magnitude lower risk level but even so, when we were in the corners all hands were focused. No room for thinking about other stuff.
