Fr Mrs. Y: Please don't mention those two in the same breath. Spaceshipone did ZERO that had not been done before. They had to word it carefully & still it was false to shoe horn it into the space it occupies. The sponsor donated a lot of $ to museum

It had too small a tail: something Gen Yeager discovered in 1953! Spaceshipone: 1st test pilot refused to go up the required 2nd time it was so squirrelly due to too small a tail. Also required to have a passenger. They didn't:had a sack of potatoes so no one screaming in the back

MIND BLOWN. Just wish we knew why a passenger was required to be on board, but feel like I’ve wasted enough of the General’s time. I’m no stranger to the ol’ taxpayer handout. Been in elected office long enough to “get it”. Thank you, General, for your time.

Have u ever flown with a passenger screaming & yelling "We're gonna die!" My wife has very few rules to fly w/ her: No screaming is one. :-) Weight, balance, shift of weight can be challenges & the purpose of the contest was to inspire vehicles to take passengers into space..
